Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required.
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association required.
- Active Montana OT license required.
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Willingness to work a days schedule with rotating shifts and rotating weekends: M–F 5x8 (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with weekend rotation.
Position Summary
Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services in a hospital setting. Assess patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and educate patients and families to maximize functional independence. Maintain compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform skilled OT evaluations and develop measurable treatment plans.
- Deliver direct patient care across the continuum of hospital services.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to address activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and adaptive equipment needs.
- Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and support staff to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Provide patient, family, and caregiver education and training.
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.
