We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to take on a full-time role with an area hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. You will help patients move better, feel better, and stay active—whether they are recovering from an injury or managing long-term conditions. Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school approved by the APTA is required.
- Active Michigan Physical Therapist license required prior to start.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred within 1 month of hire.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy required. Ability to float to acute care preferred.
- Demonstrated competence in assessment, plan of care development, treatment intervention, documentation and billing procedures.
- Experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants, aides, or students preferred.
- Successful completion of facility-specific orientation and new hire competency required.
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting as part of onboarding; employer will cover the cost.
- Ability to perform medium physical demand duties including occasional lifting up to 21–50 lbs and frequent patient mobility tasks.
- Ability to work rotating weekends (approximately 4 weekends per year) and intermittent holiday coverage (approximately 1 holiday every 3 years).
