Position Summary

Full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position based in McAlester, OK with travel to surrounding communities including Ada, Prague, and Atoka. Role supports a school setting and operates under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Responsibilities include implementing therapy plans, documenting progress, assisting with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, and collaborating with families and school staff.


Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent education required.
  • Current state SLPA certification, licensure, or registration as required by Oklahoma for practice.
  • Experience working under the supervision of a licensed SLP, preferably in school or pediatric settings.
  • Experience with documentation and progress monitoring in educational settings.
  • Ability to travel between McAlester, Ada, Prague, and Atoka as part of regular job duties.
  • Clear background check as required for school-based positions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and school collaboration.
  • Previous home health or community-based experience considered an asset.
